It was a real pleasure to meet and work with ladies from St John’s Church and their guests on Wednesday 18 April. Over 50 ladies attended an informal open evening where they had to ‘sing for their supper’ in a vocal workshop. The event was a huge success with the quality of singing exceptional as demonstrated in the informal concert at the end of the evening. The ladies throughly deserved their cheese and wine after a performance of 2 lively spiritual medlies: ‘Wade in the Water’ and ‘Swing Low Sweet Chariot’ as well as the more gentle and expressive ‘What a Wonderful World’ and ‘Danny Boy.’ Well done Ladies – you made a fantasic sound! Thanks to Phil Spencer and the Committee for organising such a successful event.
“On behalf of St John’s Ladies Guild, many thanks for the wonderful musical evening you provided for us. Everyone enjoyed it and there were many, many positive comments.” Helen
Looking forward to meeting you all at your Open Evening tomorrow. Hope you’re in good voice!
